Statement
I am challenged by the conflictive nuclei of interpersonal relationships. I understand the artist's work as a challenge to push the boundaries of the established, to wonder about what is not observable at first glance and to poetically embrace the edges of what separates us as individuals.
In OTRO –as in my previous works- I go on seeking to stage conflict systems, to bring unresolved situations closer to allow second thoughts.
I found myself with the challenge of rethinking (myself) about others, who I am not and, therefore, revisiting my own place of belonging. This work led me to approach the possibility of coming together with others using artistic methodology as a map and as a strategy.
Declaración
Me interpelan los núcleos conflictivos de las relaciones interpersonales. Entiendo la labor del artista como un desafío por correr los límites de lo establecido, preguntarse por lo que no es observable a una primera mirada y abarcar poéticamente las aristas de lo que nos separa como individuos.
En OTRO –al igual que en mis trabajos anteriores- continúo mi búsqueda de poner en escena sistemas de conflicto, acercar situaciones no resueltas para permitir segundos pensamientos.
Me encontré con el desafío de repensar(me) en los demás, en quienes no soy yo y, por lo tanto, revisitar mi propio lugar de pertenencia. Este proyecto me llevó a acercarme a la posibilidad de confluir con los demás usando la metodología artística como mapa y como estrategia.
